I was mesmerized by this amazing country ballad while enjoying the motion picture, Notting Hill. I immediately knew that I’d be learning to sing it! I didn’t know, at that time, that I’d be singing this beautiful composition, adding wonderful memories of my family, and posting the resulting music video on YouTube! This video is my first attempt to combine memories with my vocals. I really enjoyed making this video and I pray that, one day, my children will also treasure these memories. “When You Say Nothing at All” is a country song written by Paul Overstreet and Don Schlitz. Irish pop singer Ronan Keating recorded it in 1999 for the soundtrack of the film Notting Hill. This version was his first solo single, outside the confines of popular Irish group Boyzone, and a chart-topper in the UK in 1999. Keith Whitley took it to the top of the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart on December 24, 1988. Alison Krauss made it her first solo top-10 country hit in 1995. I’m placing my own personal touches on a beautiful song, pulling heartstrings, and presenting some of my intimate memories, through a humble expression of love.
