No matter what our views on the war, we can all agree that the words Homeless and Veterans should never be used in the same sentence. You can help support homeless veterans and help a trio of artists by downloading their song “Coming Home to Me” from iTunes, Rhapsody or Amazon (links below). Written by a struggling musician, a bankrupt writer and a disabled lyricist, “Coming Home to Me” is a song of hope and love inspired by a photo of troops returning from Iraq. It’s dedicated to the men and women of the US Armed Forces, and the families who wait for their return home. A portion of the profits from every download will be donated to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (www.nchv.org). The song’s musician/composer is Larry Milton, and the writer is Andy Fruit. The lyricist was Elaine Jope, Larry’s wife. Sadly, Elaine died unexpectedly before the production was completed and never had the chance to hear the polished, finished version of the last song she worked on. If you have $ .99 to spare and don’t mind downloading music, please visit one of the links below and buy “Coming Home to Me”. And if you could forward this message to anyone you know who might have a friend or loved one in the service…or might spend a buck on a tune to help vets…please send it along.
